Hi, I'm Sristi Dey

Founder of Grasscrafts.com and a fashion designer by profession, I've always believed that beauty and responsibility can coexist. My journey into sustainable design began with a simple question: why can't everyday objects be both stunning and kind to the planet?

Driven by a deep concern for climate change, I set out to find sustainable alternatives in fashion, gifting, and home decor — and discovered the extraordinary world of natural grass fibers. Sitalpati, kauna, madurkathi — each material carries centuries of Indian craft tradition, woven by skilled artisans whose livelihoods depend on keeping these techniques alive.

At Grasscrafts, I combine my design sensibility with this rich artisan heritage to create handwoven products that are stylish, functional, and genuinely sustainable.
